IMHO, dmoz is directory, it is not really relevance with the term. although it is directory about business education. but this is useless if pointing to other directory. The sooner GPS becomes standard in all devices the better. The problem with the search engines is getting the local business support. Google would be very good at this. Knowing where your IP address is, you can have alternate search results for your local area. In your example above, searching for the cheese, you could click on an alternate tab that shows sites with the key words you're using and also your geo location. That would be fun.
